Investing in K-12 & Higher Education
Public education is the great equalizer. Rebekah has fought to increase investment in K-12 and early childhood education and to increase access to post-secondary education options within our state by:
Making post-secondary education affordable and accessible.
Encouraging more stable funding for
education by implementing fair and progressive tax policies that recognize the shift in our economy.
Reducing the disparities that exist between school systems.
Advocating for teachers’ rights to strike and collectively bargain, earn a fair wage, and receive quality benefits.
Supporting measures that would reduce class size so teachers can provide more one-to-one instructional time.
Keeping our schools safe by
promoting anti-bullying and anti-hazing policies and increasing the number of school counselors.
